Mark Massara was invited by Professors Debbie Sivas, Ali Boehm, and Postdoctoral Fellow Dan Reineman to join a Stanford class for an onsite discussion of the access case at Martin’s Beach. The visit is part of the Stanford course, “California Coastal Science, Law, and Policy,” which is cross-listed in several Stanford schools (Law, Earth Sciences, and Engineering) and provides students with an interdisciplinary overview of coastal management issues in California.

To help students understand access issues and the Martin’s Beach case (and so they can experience a ‘change in intensity of access’ firsthand), Mark spoke to them at Martin’s Beach on May 21st. Mark shared his knowledge about the Martin’s Beach case specifically and his experiences more generally working on coastal access issues in California over the years.
